Prompt Time Machine and Git
An agent edits fifteen files and the build breaks. The Prompt Time Machine snapshots your code before and after every prompt, so each instruction is tied to the exact lines it changed.
See what a prompt changed
Open a capture to see the lines that prompt changed. From there you can copy it, revert the whole turn, discard one file, or open that file’s diff.
Commit from the diff
Tick the files, generate a message, and commit. Fetch origin, pull what you are behind, and push or open a pull request once GitHub is connected. Merge another branch from the branch menu.
A generated commit message counts toward your plan’s daily limit, and the model call tries your local agent CLI first. Plan limits are listed on the pricing page.
History
Every commit on the current branch, with the files it touched. Open a file to read the diff that landed.
Pausing and resuming
If you pause a project, resuming re-seeds the change baseline, so the time it was paused is not reported as one giant diff.
Limits
Change tracking is best effort: a change can be recorded late, and a prompt can be missed or filed under the wrong project. Keep your work in version control, and use the Time Machine as a guide to what happened, not as a backup.
